2nd Senate Meeting, 26th August 2021

2nd Senate Meeting of The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University held on 26th August 2021. Presided by Pro Chancellor, Mr. Ismail Rahoo (Minister for U&B, Climate Change & Coastal Development GoS). Meeting was attended by three sitting Vice Chancellors namely Prof. Dr. Aneela Atta, Prof. Dr. Faizullah Abbasi, Prof. Dr. Madad Ali Shah . Among other dignitaries there were Syed Ghulam Mujtaba Shah (Chairman B.I.S.E Sukkur), Dr. Masroor Ahmed (Chairman SBTE Karachi), Ms. Ghazala Sial (MPA Provincial Assembly Sindh), Alima Rehana Rafique, and Mr. Ghulam Nabi Sehto (Additional Director College & Education Department Sindh). Ms. Naheed Durrani, Dr. Mansoor (Secretary U&B), Engr. Abdul Qadir Shah, Prof. Dr. AQ Mughal & Engr. Mukhtar Sheikh (Vice Chairman PEC-Sindh elect) attended the meeting via zoom. Ms. Sultana Siddiqui President Hum TV Network couldn’t attend the meeting due to her travel plans.

The senate members lauded the Vice Chancellor and her team for making visible progress in short span of time and setting up trends of good governance through holding timely meetings of Statuary Bodies. Senate also appreciated the successful launch of Doctor of Physiotherapy Program approved in 1st meeting. VC informed that university has applied to HEC Pakistan for NOC to launch Post graduate programs in various departments. Senate unanimously approved the Draft Annual Report for Year 2020, Budget Estimates for FY 2021-22 as recommended by Syndicate. Senate also approved the Audited Financial Statements for FY 2020-21.
