Workshop on “Assessment Techniques including Paper Setting and Rubric Design” at The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur

A 2-days training workshop on “Assessment Techniques including Paper Setting and Rubric Designing” was organized by the Examination Department, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University under Faculty Capacity Building Program on 27-04-2023 to 28-04-2023.

The Vice-Chancellor of BNBWU, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, shared her views on the importance of assessment in higher education. Assessment Techniques not only help us to evaluate the progress of our students but also guides us in designing effective teaching strategies to support the learning of students.

The training session was led by Dr Razia Fakir Muhammad, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Iqra University, Karachi. She is a well-known educationalist. The training program covered various topics, including the importance of assessment in student learning, different types of assessment, and the characteristics of an effective rubric. The faculty members were also taught how to design rubrics that align with the course objectives and how to use rubrics to provide constructive feedback to students.

At the end of the training session, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, presented the souvenirs to the trainer and the faculty members received certificates of participation as a recognition of their active participation and dedication throughout the training program.
