Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) initiated a lecture series on “Women Empowerment & Leadership”. The first lecture of the series was held on 29th October, 2023. Ms. Noorul Huda Shah, a renowned writer, was the guest speaker, and the event was chaired by the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tahmina Mangan.
Ms. Noor Ul Huda Shah emphasized the vital role of education in women’s empowerment and the importance of clear and confident communication for women. She underscored that achieving women’s empowerment hinges significantly on the involvement of men within society, particularly brothers. They can serve as catalysts for positive societal transformation, thereby empowering women. In recognition of the inherent imbalances, where men are traditionally perceived as more dominant, brothers can harness their inherent power to uplift and empower their sisters.
During her address, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tahmina Mangan, shed light on the proactive measures she has undertaken to propel Begum Nusrat Bhutto University forward. This includes substantial enhancements to the university’s infrastructure and a steadfast commitment to elevating the quality of education. Furthermore, she stressed the significance of expanding students’ exposure to enrich their learning potential. Her emphasis lay on molding each student in such a manner that they emerge as adept leaders, poised to usher in positive change. Their education should not only serve personal advancement but also extend its reach to improve the lives of their family members and contribute positively to society at large.
