𝐀𝐳𝐚𝐝𝐢 𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐤𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠 – 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞-𝐞-𝐇𝐚𝐪) 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐦-𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐍𝐁𝐖𝐔 𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐫, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, organized a vibrant celebration of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day (Ma’arke-e-Haq) with Success of Operation Bunyan-Um-Mursoos under the theme “Azadi ke Rang, Kashmir ke Sang.” The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, BNBWU, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, faculty, and students.
The keynote address was delivered by Chief Guest Mr. Abid Shehzad Qureshi, Commissioner Sukkur, who highlighted the longstanding issue of Kashmir and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the independence and self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He also underlined the critical role of information technology in modern times, emphasizing that Pakistan’s forces have gained an advantage due to the use of advanced technologies. He urged the youth to step forward in the race of technology, noting that in this era, nations with strong IT skills will hold superiority over others, and it is the responsibility of students to contribute to making Pakistan stronger and greater. Mr. Abid further praised the leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj and acknowledged the passion and dedication of the BNBWU students. He appreciated their thought-provoking speeches on the themes of patriotism and Kashmir. In recognition of their talent, he selected one student’s speech to be presented at the Divisional Event scheduled for 14th August.
Sharing her reflections, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj emphasized the blessings of living in a free country like Pakistan. She remarked, “We are fortunate to breathe in freedom under the flag of Pakistan, while many parts of the world are still suffering from war and conflict. Independence is a blessing we must always value and protect.” She also appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and encouraged them to embrace the true spirit of Independence Day, remain mindful of the Kashmir issue, and carry this message forward to their communities.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Mr. Nadir Shehzad Khan, Mr. Shabeer Memon, Deputy Director Bait-ul-Mal Sukkur, SIP Ms. Rukhsana, Chairperson Fairy Home Sukkur Ms. Farzana Khoso and officials from Sindh Police Sukkur. Their presence further inspired the spirit of patriotism and solidarity among the participants.
The Independence Day celebration at BNBWU was filled with speeches, national songs, documentary and cultural performances, reflecting the deep love for Pakistan and the solidarity with Kashmir. The event concluded with renewed resolve to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and commitment to the nation.
