78th Independence Day Celebrations (Ma’arke-e-Haq) & Success of Operation Bunyan-Um-Mursoos) Continue at BNBWU with Inter-University Poetry Competition Sukkur, August 5, 2025

Continuing the series of activities in connection with Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, organized an Inter‑University Poetry Competition under the inspiring leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, BNBWU. The event offered students from across the region a powerful platform to express their patriotic emotions, creativity, and commitment to the nation through the art of poetry.

The competition was held under the following themes:

• Urdu: “فولادی آوازیں: نوجوان پاکستان کے فخر کی بات کرتے ہیں” (Voices of Steel: Youth Speaks for Pakistan’s Pride)

• English: “Operation Bunyan‑Um‑Marsoos: Our Anthem of Bravery”

Students from Sukkur IBA University, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (SZAB Campus) Khairpur, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, and BNBWU Sukkur participated with enthusiasm, presenting poems that reflected courage, sacrifice, unity, and love for Pakistan.

At the conclusion of the competition, the winners were announced:

🥉 3rd Prize: Rabiya – IBA Sukkur

🥈 2nd Prize: Sindhu – MUET Khairpur

🥉 3rd Prize: Nigah‑e‑Zainab – BNBWU Sukkur

Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj congratulated the winners and awarded cash prizes as a token of appreciation for their extraordinary skills and talent. She praised all participants for their confidence and creativity, emphasizing that such competitions not only polish literary expression but also strengthen patriotic spirit and empower youth—especially female students—to become active voices of change in society.
