BNBWU Celebrated International Women’s Day

Reaffirming her commitment to women’s empowerment, leadership, and inclusive progress, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, led the celebrations of International Women’s Day on 8th March at the University campus.

The event was organized under the Students’ Clubs and Societies of BNBWU, bringing together students, faculty members, and staff to celebrate the strength, achievements, and aspirations of women. Through interactive discussions, student engagements, and reflective activities, participants highlighted the importance of gender equality, confidence, and leadership among young women. On the occasion, students delivered speeches in English, Sindhi, and Urdu, while poetry in Urdu and Sindhi languages was also presented, reflecting on the role, resilience, and contributions of women in society.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that empowered women are the foundation of a progressive and prosperous society, encouraging students to pursue their ambitions with determination and resilience. She noted that BNBWU continues to serve as a platform where women are equipped with knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The celebration concluded with a collective message of unity and inspiration, reaffirming BNBWU’s commitment to empowering women to rise, lead, and inspire future generations.
