The Begum Nusrat Bhutto (BNB) Women University Sukkur was established with the sole objective to empower, facilitate and inspire Women with ambition. BNB Women University aims to enable capable women by providing quality education alongside exposure to endless opportunities for their socio-economic growth. Women participation is essential in all professional fields including Education, Technology, Management, Engineering, Politics, and Legislation among others.
Keeping in view the significance of Women Education and thereby participation in the economy, Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani had announced the establishment of Women University during his visit to Sukkur on January 11, 2009. Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Government of Pakistan at that time laid down the foundation stone on September 10, 2013. The Provincial Assembly of Sindh passed Act of University in the name of “The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University, Sukkur” dated 24th May 2018. The Government of Sindh has leased 200 acres of land at Rohri bypass in Deh Nandho Kohistan Taluka Rohri District Sukkur for the establishment of the University. 70 acres of land was also allocated to BNB WU by Govt. of Sindh in addition to 200 acres of land. At present, the development work is been carried out at 70 Acres of land at Rohri bypass.
The University is keen to be known for its diversified & contemporary teaching and research programs. It is currently offering degree programs in the following departments:

Department of Human & Rehabilitation Sciences
Department of Natural Sciences
Department of Management Sciences & Technology
Department of Information and Communication Technologies
To ensure quality, University has also established a Quality Enhancement Cell which is currently supervised by Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Zazrdari (Assistant Professor / Chairperson Department of Information & Communication Technologies). The department has got dedicated support and allied staff for smooth and effective operation.
