The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur (BNBWU), observed Kashmir Day-5th February with deep patriotism and commitment to express unwavering support and solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor BNBWU, students, faculty members, and staff participated in various activities to highlight the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. The observance aimed to raise awareness about the humanitarian challenges faced by Kashmiris and to reaffirm Pakistanโs moral, political, and diplomatic support for their cause.
On the occasion, the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj expressed her heartfelt solidarity with the people of Kashmir and stated:
โKashmir Solidarity Day reminds us of our moral, humanitarian, and national responsibility to stand firmly with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle for dignity, justice, and self-determination. At BNBWU, we believe in nurturing socially conscious and responsible citizens who uphold the values of peace, human rights, and national unity.โ
She further emphasized that education plays a vital role in creating awareness about regional and global issues and encouraged students to remain informed, compassionate, and committed to peaceful advocacy.
The program included speeches, prayers, and expressions of unity, where participants paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. Students reaffirmed their resolve to continue supporting the Kashmiri cause through awareness, dialogue, and responsible citizenship.
The observance reflected BNBWUโs commitment to promoting patriotic values, national unity, and social responsibility among students. The University community concluded the event with prayers for peace, justice, and lasting freedom for the people of Kashmir.
