"I am delighted and honored to assume the role of Vice Chancellor at The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) Sukkur. The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) Sukkur proudly holds the distinction of being the first public sector women's university in Sindh. Its primary objective is to educate, empower, encourage, and motivate women who strive to achieve their goals. BNBWU is committed to providing high-quality education and creating opportunities that facilitate the socio-economic development of women. The university is dedicated to enhancing academic quality and research output, aiming to cultivate an environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and inclusiveness. At The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur, we are dedicated to nurturing leadership qualities, promoting critical thinking, and equipping our students with the necessary tools to address the pressing challenges faced by women today. Our aim is to enable them to make meaningful contributions to their communities while pursuing their aspirations.
The university is named after Begum Nusrat Bhutto, a prominent advocate for women's education in Pakistan. She played a pivotal role in establishing two women's universities, several schools, and vocational training centers for women. Her relentless efforts to enhance women's literacy garnered numerous national and international accolades, including the prestigious UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of Literacy in 1984. The establishment of The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University serves as a testament to her unwavering commitment to advancing women's education and empowerment.
Our aim is to provide support to faculty and students in their research endeavors and foster collaboration with national and international universities and industries. This collaboration ensures that our academic programs align with the needs of the workforce and that our graduates are well-prepared for their careers. I am eager to lead The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur and work towards its improvement and success. I look forward to collaborating with our faculty, staff, and students to achieve our goals and make a positive impact in Sindh and Pakistan. I firmly believe that each member of the university community plays a crucial role in achieving these shared objectives.
