The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur had the privilege of welcoming Secretary, Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC), Mr. Moin Siddiqui, on his official visit to the campus. The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, received the distinguished guest and presented an institutional briefing highlighting the Universityโs recent achievements, expanding academic initiatives, and its growing role in advancing womenโs higher education.
During the interaction, the Secretary was apprised of BNBWUโs initiatives to strengthen academic quality, enhance research engagement, and introduce modern learning environments for students. Mr. Moin Siddiqui applauded the efforts and visionary initiatives undertaken by the Vice Chancellor, noting the remarkable transformation achieved by the University in a short period. He appreciated BNBWUโs mission of empowering young women from Sukkur, rural Sindh, Southern Punjab, and Balochistan through safe, inclusive, and progressive educational opportunities.
As part of his campus tour, the Secretary visited major academic and research spaces including the Central Library, Computer Science Lab, Science Laboratories, Smart Classroom, and various departmental learning facilities. He also visited the Universityโs key centers dedicated to womenโs advancement, including the Centre for Women Empowerment, Research & Trainings (CWERT) and other initiatives focused on leadership development, skills enhancement, and social entrepreneurship. He expressed appreciation for the Universityโs commitment to building comprehensive support systems for female students.
Mr. Moin Siddiqui further observed the ongoing development and infrastructure works, acknowledging the steady progress, structural planning, and long-term vision guiding BNBWUโs expansion. He remarked that the University is rapidly emerging as a promising institution dedicated to creating new pathways of growth and empowerment for the daughters of Sindh.
In his concluding remarks, the Secretary assured the full support of the Sindh Higher Education Commission for the Universityโs academic, developmental, and capacity-building initiatives. He emphasized that SHEC remains committed to advancing womenโs empowerment through quality education, recognizing BNBWU as a significant contributor to this provincial and national priority
