Biography

Ms. Javeriya Javed Baloch is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics & Social Sciences at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University, Sukkur. She holds an M.Phil. in American Literature from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad—one of Pakistan’s most prestigious research institutions—where her scholarly focus revolved around cultural identity, diaspora studies, and the intersections of language and power. She completed her BS (Hons.) in English Language & Literature in 2021 from Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, demonstrating an early dedication to the discipline. Prior to joining BNBWU, she served as a visiting faculty member at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Hyderabad Campus, where she taught courses in English language and literature at undergraduate level. She is committed to fostering analytical thinking, academic growth, and linguistic proficiency among students through dynamic and research-led teaching practices.
Her teaching philosophy centers on enabling students to engage deeply with language as a socio-cultural phenomenon and a transformative medium. Actively involved in academic and research pursuits, Ms. Baloch continuously aims to strengthen interdisciplinary scholarship within literature and linguistics. Her research interests include World Englishes, identity negotiation in diaspora literature, postcolonial feminist studies, and literary discourse. She aspires to contribute significantly to contemporary scholarship addressing the evolution of identity, culture, and gender in South Asian contexts.
