Biography
Laraib Ishaque is a computer science educator and researcher specializing in human-computer interaction and user experience design. She holds an M.Phil. in Computer Science from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro (2024), where her thesis examined the influence of demographic factors gender, age, and education on users' preferences and accuracy in identifying digital icons on handheld devices. Her research established that education and age significantly impact icon identifiability and user interaction patterns, providing empirical evidence for developing more inclusive and accessible digital interfaces.
With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (2015) and a Bachelor of Education, Laraib integrates technical expertise with pedagogical theory in her teaching practice. She has served as a Computer Science educator at Naval Rai Hiranand School, employing data-driven instructional methodologies for middle and secondary-level students. Previously, at Public School Hyderabad (2019–2022), she coordinated the institution's British Council accreditation process and facilitated student participation in international competitions, expanding opportunities for cross-cultural academic engagement.
Laraib possesses advanced competencies in programming, web development, and data analytics, enhanced by professional certifications in Machine Learning for Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence for Education. Her research and teaching focus on leveraging educational technology to create evidence-based learning environments that foster critical thinking and technological literacy among diverse student populations..
