The Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj appreciated Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi on securing First Position and Dr Nabiha Arain securing place in top ten at the National Faculty Development Program โ Training of Trainers (FDPโToT) on Social Enterprise Development and Peacebuilding, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in collaboration with key national stakeholders, including the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (HEC), and the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan.
On this occasion, the Worthy Vice Chancellor presented a Shield of Appreciation to Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi in recognition of his outstanding individual performance and his exemplary representation of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) at the national level. She commended his academic rigor, leadership qualities, and professional excellence, noting that his achievement has brought distinction to the University among a highly competitive cohort of faculty members from across Pakistan.
While appreciating the achievement, the Worthy Vice Chancellor stated:
โFaculty development remains a core priority at BNBWU. We deliberately nominate and facilitate our faculty members for national and international development programs so that they may grow professionally and contribute more effectively to students, the University, and society.โ
As part of the next phase of the program, Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi, who secured First Position, and Dr. Nabiha Arain, who ranked among the top ten of the top 20 faculty members, have been selected to proceed to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, to participate in a world-renowned two-week Advanced Leadership Program aimed at further strengthening their leadership, academic, and institutional development capabilities.
The FDPโToT was a rigorous national-level initiative spanning several weeks, in which 43 faculty members, selected through a competitive evaluation process, participated in intensive training, mentoring, and performance-based assessments. In addition to Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohiโs First Position, the team-based learning group associated with the program also secured a top-ranking position, reflecting strong collaboration and applied learning outcomes.
The Worthy Vice Chancellor emphasized that these achievements are a direct outcome of BNBWUโs broader academic and faculty development framework, under which faculty members are consistently encouraged, facilitated, and supported to participate in national and international capacity-building initiatives.
