123 BNBWU Students Receive Laptops Under Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme

Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, hosted the ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme – Level Up, a flagship initiative of the Government of Pakistan under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, aimed at promoting digital transformation, innovation, and knowledge-driven learning among the youth of Pakistan.

The ceremony was graced by Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Member National Assembly of Pakistan, as the Honorable Chief Guest. On this occasion, 123 top-achieving students of BNBWU were awarded laptops, recognizing their academic excellence and enabling them to strengthen their learning, research, and digital engagement.

Addressing the gathering, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah appreciated the remarkable progress of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University and lauded the leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan, acknowledging the significant milestones the University has achieved within a short span of time under her leadership. He assured his continued support for the University and also extended his support for providing sports opportunities to BNBWU students at the Sukkur Sports Complex free of cost, encouraging students to remain active in both academic and extracurricular activities.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan, Vice Chancellor BNBWU, shared a brief overview of the University’s development journey, highlighting how BNBWU started from modest beginnings and has rapidly progressed into a vibrant center of higher learning within a short period. She emphasized that initiatives like the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide and empowering young women with technological tools essential for modern education, research, and innovation.

The ceremony reflected BNBWU’s continued commitment to digital empowerment, academic excellence, and preparing women for leadership roles in the rapidly evolving digital era, enabling them to become confident contributors to Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
