Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan, Vice Chancellor, leads the No Tobacco Day Walk, joined by students and faculty members

The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University in Sukkur, Sindh, Pakistan, marked World No Tobacco Day on May 31, 2023. The university’s Department of Human and Rehabilitation Sciences organized a walk to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco. An awareness session was held after the walk, featuring guest speaker Dr. Raj Kumar Sachdewani from Ghulam Muhamad Maher Medical College. Dr. Sachdewani highlighted the health issues and deaths associated with tobacco use and urged students to educate their families and friends. The Worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Tehmina Mangan highlighted the disastrous impact of tobacco use and stressed the pivotal role, that female students can play in creating a tobacco-free society in Pakistan. The event concluded with the distribution of souvenirs to the guest speakers and certificates to participating students.
