Professor Dr. Masato Kosaka from the University of Fuki, Japan, visited Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University on October 24, 2023, and met with the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tahmina Nangraj. The Honorable Vice Chancellor expressed her gratitude for the visit and briefed on Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) Sukkur’s distinction as the first public sector women’s university in Sindh. BNBWU’s primary objective is to educate, empower, encourage, and motivate women in their pursuit of educational and personal goals. The university is committed to providing high-quality education and creating opportunities that facilitate the socio-economic development of women. This year, we have increased the number of students and initiated three new degree programs, including BS Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership, Bs Artificial Intelligence (AI) & BS Environmental Science.
She further shared that BNBWU is actively working on various collaboration projects with universities, institutes, and organizations and expressed hope for the University of Fuki, Japan, to be one of them.
Dr. Kosaka appreciated the efforts of the Worthy Vice Chancellor and recognized the importance of BNBWU. He assured that their institution would work in collaboration with BNBWU. During the visit, Dr. Kosaka met with final-year students in the Education Department and discussed a Japanese government scholarship program for Master’s degrees. Professor Dr. Tehmina Nangraj encouraged students to apply for the scholarships and presented a souvenir to Dr. Kosaka as a token of appreciation.
