One-Day seminar on Human Rights

𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐂, 𝐁𝐍𝐁𝐖𝐔 𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐫 organized a one-day seminar on “𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬” held on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. The event featured 𝐌𝐫. 𝐈𝐪𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 Sindh Human Rights Commission, as the keynote speaker, who shared profound insights on the session’s theme. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨 eloquently highlighted the teachings of Islam, emphasizing the rights of humans, particularly the rights of women. In addition, he provided a comprehensive overview of various civilizations, underscoring the status of women in societal contexts.

Following 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨’𝐬 enlightening address, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐡, 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, offered valuable insights to the participants, shedding light on the specific rights pertaining to women. The interactive question and answer session that ensued allowed for a deeper exploration of the topic, fostering engagement and understanding among the participants.

Concluding the seminar, Worthy Vice Chancellor, BNBWU, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐓𝐞𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐣 delivered a thought-provoking closing statement, asserting that “Human rights are universal, regardless of the boundaries of sex, gender, and religion. It is through the recognition of these rights that discrimination is eradicated, fostering a climate of positivity.” She expressed these sentiments while underlining the importance of upholding human rights as a means to ensure equality and justice.
