Islamiyat Speech Competition

Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj , Vice Chancellor of The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur, chaired a speech competition event held on January 30th, 2024. The event was organized by the Department of Linguistics and Social Sciences at BNBWU, focusing on the importance of hijab in Islam, the status of women in Islam as mothers and daughters, the contribution and role of women in Islam, women’s education and training in Islam, and the rights of women in light of Quran and Hadith.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj emphasized that competitions play a pivotal role in honing students’ communication skills, fostering confidence, and promoting thinking. Specifically, from today’s event, students gained a better understanding and inspiration about the topics discussed. Furthermore, she highlighted that events of this nature serve as platforms for intellectual exchange, encouraging students to articulate their ideas effectively and contribute meaningfully.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the students and awarded certificates to those who secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in the speech competition. Students from BSCS, BBA, BSBT, and BS Physics participated.
