Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), and in collaboration with CPDI-USAID’s HumAhang project and the Centre of Women Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CWEL) led by Dr Noor Brohi at BNBWU, the Youth Assembly Orientation Program held on November 20, 2024, prepared 30 Youth Assembly members to lead impactful initiatives in their communities.
The orientation, a direct outcome of the Youth Assembly Launch, featured workshops conducted by Mr. Azim Arshad, Chief of the Party (CPDI-USAID), Syeda Mujeeba, and Ms. Mehwish. These sessions emphasized climate change, leadership development, and building resilience in communities through peacebuilding and climate action. Participants engaged in discussions and activities that equipped them with the skills and knowledge needed to address critical societal challenges.
This initiative exemplifies Dr. Nangraj’s commitment to empowering young women to lead impactful, sustainable change in their communities. By championing platforms like the Youth Assembly and CWEL, she ensures that female students are equipped with the skills and confidence to address critical challenges, foster innovation, and contribute to sustainable development, aligning with the UN SDGs.
