When one aspires to achieve excellence, the universe facilitates the path forward. This principle aptly reflects the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur. In alignment with this vision, the university has formally launched the National Outreach Programme for University Faculty—an initiative of the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), under the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, Islamabad. The programme aims to enhance the professional capacities of faculty members in modern pedagogy, research, and academic administration, thereby contributing to institutional growth and academic excellence.
The inaugural ceremony, held on 5 May 2025, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Bilal, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Noor Ahmed Brohi, Training Coordinator. The programme includes 68 sessions across nine modules, covering topics such as digital pedagogy, academic research, emotional intelligence, communication, well-being, and university governance. Sessions will be led by renowned scholars, academic leaders, and experts in the field.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj extended heartfelt appreciation to HEC Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Executive Director Dr. Zia ul-Qayyum, and NAHE Managing Director Dr. Noor Amna Malik for their continued support and leadership in advancing faculty development initiatives across Pakistan. She emphasized that the programme represents more than a training opportunity—it is an invitation to grow, reflect, and innovate. Dr. Nangraj reaffirmed the university’s mission to empower women through quality education, noting that faculty development remains central to this goal.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Sohail Raza Mangi, Assistant Director and Focal Person NAHE, along with senior faculty members, facilitators, and university officials.
