Immunization Awareness Session at BNBWU Sukkur

Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, organized an informative awareness session on immunization on May 8, 2025. The session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Dean and Professor of Microbiology and Genomics, Center for Non-Communicable Diseases (CNCD) Karachi.

The session focused on the theme “Compulsory Immunization Challenges in Pakistan.” Dr. Kazmi delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the vital importance of preventive vaccinations. She discussed the multifaceted challenges Pakistan faces in achieving comprehensive immunization coverage, including social, logistical, and policy-related barriers. She further emphasized the crucial role of community awareness and strong public health initiatives in addressing vaccine-preventable diseases.
