Youm-e-Takbir

On Youm-e-Takbir, a special ceremony was organized at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj.

The event paid tribute to the historical background of Youm-e-Takbir, Pakistan’s nuclear achievements and the services of individuals dedicated to national security through

passionate speeches, poetry and documentaries.

In her address, Vice Chancellor appreciated the services of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and scientists along with the sacrifices of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan (the founder of Pakistan’s nuclear program) and the defense institutions. She said that Youm-e-Takbir is not just a date, but a milestone in Pakistan’s independence, scientific progress and a symbol of determination.

She stressed that Pakistan can be made stronger through education, research and national service. Also, encouraged female students to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields.

Prof Dr Tehmina Nangraj’s words awakened the spirit of patriotism and national unity among the participants.
