The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur commemorated Defence Day 2025 with great patriotic spirit and respect for the martyrs and heroes of the nation. The event began with Qirat, followed by the National Anthem.
A debate on the topic “جوش کردار سے کھل جاتے ہیں تقدیر کے راز” featured Areesha from English in favour and Arshia from Chemistry against, both impressing the audience with their confidence and eloquence. A patriotic national song presented by student Hadia Ali, which captivated the audience with its soulful spirit. The highlight of the celebration was the Quiz Competition, in which Team B emerged as winners. The winning team members were Sanjina and Kamila, students of BS Chemistry, Fall 2022, who showcased exceptional knowledge and enthusiasm.
Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj addressed the gathering. In her remarks, she highlighted the bravery of the heroes of the nation and underscored that women have played a significant role as mothers, raising brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the country. She also emphasized the importance of unity, resilience, and dedication to national service.
The programme concluded with a spirited Defence Day Rally led by Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj within the university premises, symbolizing solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan. A group photograph was taken to mark the memorable occasion.
