6th Board of Studies Meeting of Department of Natural Sciences Achieves Major Milestones

Since joining the University as the first permanent Vice Chancellor of BNBWU, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj has strived with utmost dedication to launch postgraduate degree programs including Masterโ€™s and PhD. In line with this vision, and under her dynamic guidance, the Department of Natural Sciences achieved a significant milestone by securing the initial approval of a PhD program in Physics during its 6th Board of Studies meeting chaired by Dr. Ram Chand, Chairperson of the Department.

The meeting also reviewed and revised the schemes of studies for BS and MS programs, incorporating the Higher Education Commissionโ€™s newly introduced courses Fehm-ul-Quran I and Fehm-ul-Quran II to ensure alignment with national academic standards.

The session was attended by distinguished external and internal members including Prof. Faheem K. Butt, Chairperson, Department of Physics, University of Education, Lahore; Prof. Deedar Ali Jamro, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur; Prof. Niaz H. Ghumro, Sukkur IBA University; and Prof. Rajab Ali Malokani, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Nawabshah.

The launch of the PhD program in Physics reflects BNBWUโ€™s commitment to fostering quality research, innovation, and academic excellence in Sindh and beyond.
