Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, BNBians observed Kashmir Black Day to raise awareness about the historical context of Indiaโs illegal occupation on October 27, 1947, express unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir, and highlight the ongoing human rights violations in the region.
Students passionately demonstrated their support through heartfelt speeches and a national song dedicated to Kashmir. A powerful documentary, prepared by the media secretaries of the 3rd Studentsโ Council, was also presented, depicting the relentless struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of freedom and self-determination.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Tahmina Nangraj, Vice Chancellor BNBWU, emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and standing united for justice and peace. She stated that โKashmir Black Day reminds us of our moral and national responsibility to support the just struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The youth must continue to raise their voices for the oppressed and uphold the values of humanity, justice, and freedom.
