Following the vision of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj, to nurture youth leadership and civic responsibility among students, The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU) Sukkur organized an inspiring session titled “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞” in collaboration with URAAN Pakistan’s Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC).

The event, held on 5th November 2025 at the University’s Event Hall, aimed to instill a sense of purpose, social responsibility, and nation-building among young women. The session encouraged students to become proactive citizens who contribute to peace, sustainability, and development in Pakistan.

Speakers from URAAN YPDC shared their insights on the importance of youth participation in leadership, peacebuilding, and socio-economic growth. They highlighted how youth empowerment aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj’s tireless efforts in promoting youth engagement, inclusive leadership, and quality education were appreciated, as BNBWU continues to provide a platform where young women can lead change and shape a better future for Pakistan.

The event reflected the university’s ongoing commitment to empowering women as agents of peace and progress, contributing to both national development and global sustainability goals.
