In continuation of strengthening academic and learning infrastructure at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), the Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Library was formally inaugurated by Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Local Government and Housing Town Planning (HTP), Government of Sindh, in the gracious presence of the Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Syed Kumail Haider Shah, Chairman, District Council Sukkur, and Mr. Nadir Shahzad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, reflecting strong support from local government and the district administration for the Universityโs development. On the occasion, Senior Journalist and Production Editor, Geo News TV, Mr. Suhail Warraich, was also present, adding national media significance to the event.
The inauguration of the library marks an important milestone in BNBWUโs journey towards providing modern, student-centered academic facilities. The newly inaugurated library is envisioned as a vibrant academic space to facilitate students and faculty with enhanced access to learning resources, promote reading culture, and support research and scholarly activities.
The dignitaries appreciated the ongoing development of academic infrastructure at BNBWU and emphasized the vital role of libraries in fostering knowledge, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the continued progress and success of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University in advancing its mission of womenโs empowerment through education.
