Biography

Dr. Khair Muhammad Asif is a seasoned professional having more than a decade of well-rounded research and teaching experience across various institutes and universities of Pakistan. Having obtained Ph.D. in Islamic Culture, on the topic of "Comparative Analysis of Prohibited Trades in Islamic Economics System" from University of Sindh, Jamshoro in 2019. Dr. Asif specializes in Islamic Finance and Economics. He has also obtained M.A (Islamic Culture) from University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Apart from that, Dr Khair Muhammad Asif is a Hafiz-e-Quran and has completed Two Years Ifta (Mufti) Course تخصص فی فقہ المعاملات المالیہ from renewed Islamic university Jamia-tu- Rasheed Karachi. Prior to joining BNBWU, he has engaged in teaching Islamic Studies at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro and Department of Education, Government of Sindh. Major areas of interest of Dr. Asif include Islamic Fiscal Jurisprudence related to areas of Islamic finance, Trade, Baking, Takaful, Inheritance Laws, Business Laws, and Practices. On credit of Dr. Khair Muhammad, there are more than 15 research papers published in different journals of national and international repute on the topics of Islamic Banking & Finance, Islamic Economics & Trade, Islamic Business and Commercial Laws. He has also presented many research papers in various national and international conferences. He also been invited to speak at various programs, seminars, conference, and events related to Islamic Finance as a panellist and guest speaker. Apart from his professional responsibilities, Dr Asif has been engaged in various volunteer and philanthropic activities with national and international not-for-profit organizations focused on literacy enhancement, poverty alleviation and rural employment generation.
