Biography

Sarmad Aftab Lashari is the lecturer of Pakistan Studies in Department of Linguistics and Human Sciences. He is very motivated and passionate faculty member. Sarmad did bachelors in BS Social Sciences from SZABIST, Karachi with majors in International Relations, his thesis title was “Srilankan Model of counter terrorism: A Case Study of Tamil Tigers”.
He was very active student in extra-curricular activities, He was member of multiple student societies such as Young Senators and ZABMUN. He founded his own society named as Sindh Abhyas Society, whose objective was to bring urban and rural students together, and which focus on the importance of Indus Civilization in its true essence and identity.
He went to Quaid-e-Azam University at the department of NIPS (National Institute of Pakistan Studies) to pursue MPhil degree, his thesis is in Non-Mother Tongue and Scientific Literacy, it is titled as “Teaching Science in Non-Mother Tongue at the secondary level in private schools: A Case Study of Khairpur Mirs”. He has taught two years in Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in the department of Pakistan Studies. He taught Foreign Policy and Pakistan Studies to the undergraduate students. He also was focal person for the online classes and examination during the Covid-19 his department.
